WGF was invited by the White House Council on Women and Girls to take eight young women from WGF’s Regional Change Agents and GirlGov programs to the White House on Monday, June 21, 2010 to join President Obama for a White House Event on Mentoring.
The eight young women from the Women and Girls Foundation’s Regional Change Agents and GirlGov programs were given a chance to participate in interactive conversations about their lives, careers, and strategies for success with the President and prominent leaders in business, entertainment, and public service. Earlier that day, the President delivered a major address on responsible fatherhood and hosted a mentoring barbeque at the White House with 150 DC-area high school students.
