Grantmaking{ How to Apply }

WGF requires that applicants engage a coalition of agencies, advocates, policy makers, and/or employers in developing their plan. The strongest proposals will include “traditional” and “non-traditional” allies and partners, and proposals may be submitted by consortia of non-profit organizations.

1. ENGAGING WOMEN VOTERS

To support a non-partisan coalition effort to increase female voter turnout and education on issues related to women in PA in 2012. (You will not be able to save your online application once you start to work on it. You may want to download the list of questions for Engaging Women Voters to answer in Word, and then paste your responses into the form.)

2. STRENGTHENING WOMEN’S RIGHTS
Online Letter of Inquiry / Application Phase 1:
To support legislative or litigation efforts to protect and strengthen women’s civil liberties and/or economic security rights at the state level. (You will not be able to save your online application once you start to work on it. You may want to download the list of questions for Strengthening Women’s Rights to answer in Word, and then paste your responses into the form.)

3. CREATING JOBS FOR WOMEN
Online Letter of Inquiry / Application Phase 1:
To support a coalition effort of non-profit and corporate employers working together to create jobs and increase contracting opportunities for women in SWPA. (Please Note: You will not be able to save your online application once you start to work on it. You may want to download the list of questions for Creating Jobs for Women to answer in Word, and then paste your responses into the form.)

DISCRETIONARY GRANT proposals are accepted at all times throughout the year for requests of $2,500 or less. Proposals are due at least one month prior to the completion of the supported activity. Discretionary Grants are reviewed and awarded quarterly. Download a Discretionary Grant Cover Sheet, which includes submission instructions.

ELIGIBILITY: Eligible applicants for all WGF grants: 501(c)(3) organizations operating in Southwest Pennsylvania — Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, Washington, Westmoreland counties. Grants will not be made to organizations for religious purposes, nor to those working to limit women’s reproductive or other civil rights.

NOTE: Previous grantees may not submit a new request until their final report from the most recent grant has been submitted.
