Sabyne Pierre a proud native of Newark, NJ, is a spoken word artist, student of abolition, and most importantly a poet at heart. Sabyne is passionate about social change and uses spoken word poetry as a tool of empowerment. They’re interested in community organizing work and how it can be used to dream for a collective, liberated future. When they’re not performing, Sabyne enjoys losing at trivia and facilitating activists efforts by connecting with youth at GirlGov. They are WGF’s GirlGov Program Manager.
