Emily Resko (she/her) is a passionate advocate for youth voice, civic education, and community-rooted leadership. A Pittsburgh native, Emily brings years of experience at the intersection of education, public policy, and immigrant and refugee support. She holds a Master’s in Public and International Affairs from the University of Pittsburgh, where she focused on Human Security, civil society, and nonprofit systems. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Duquesne University, with additional studies in philosophy, theology, and pre-law.
Emily’s professional journey reflects a deep commitment to uplifting youth and historically underrepresented communities. At Hello Neighbor, she led family and youth programming, built lasting community partnerships, and launched the organization’s first large-scale ESL intake system. Her work has spanned case management, program management, and policy research, and she continues her civic engagement through the Pittsburgh Learning Collaborative and volunteer efforts centered on humanitarian relief and educational equity.
Outside of work, Emily is dedicated to wellness and growth—whether she’s training in the gym, mentoring students, or delving into public policy. She believes in the power of community, storytelling, and creating brave spaces where young people can discover who they are and the impact they want to make.
