India Krug is a GirlGov program alumna and joined the WGF team as GirlGov’s Communications Intern in January 2021. She develops GirlGov’s social media platforms to inform and organize a wide constituent base. Her work involves researching figures that are routinely left out of history books, creating action plans for young people, and boosting community campaigns. She is passionate about empowering teens with the tools to advocate using context and evidence.

India is a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh, majoring in Politics & Philosophy and minoring in Gender Studies. She also serves as the Political Affairs Director of the PA College Democrats. On the weekends, you can find her writing a column for The Pitt News, grabbing coffee with friends, or listening to Joni Mitchell.
