Miracle Jones is a Hill District resident by the way of Atlanta, Georgia. She graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies and received her J.D. from University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2018. She is in the last year of her MSW program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work. Her focus is the impact of abolition based principles on families who have survived mass incarceration and over policing. Prior to coming to the foundation she interned at the Innocence Project, Allegheny County Public Defender’s Office, and the Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Her goal is to encourage young women and femmes to be their authentic selves in advocacy and engagement.
