Community Care Donation Drive 2026-2027

From October 12 to November 30, the Women and Girls Foundation and our GirlGov program are hosting an end-of-the-year Community Care Donation Drive!

This year, we have proudly partnered with The Autonomous Body Shop to collect new, unopened menstrual and personal hygiene products to benefit communities, women, femme-aligned, and gender-expansive individuals across the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Want to get involved? We invite community organizations, schools, and local businesses to collaborate with us by hosting a collection box at their location. Join the fun!

Community Care Donation Drive 2025-2026

We are thrilled to announce the incredible success of the WGF x GirlGov Community Care Donation Drive!

Together with our dedicated community partners, we collected over 3,000 essential items for refugee and immigrant families in Pittsburgh—more than four times last year’s total. This initiative reflects our commitment to community care and gender equity, while also highlighting the dedication and leadership of our young GirlGov participants.

Our young leaders engaged their schools and communities, raising awareness and support, and deepening their understanding of civic action and public service.

The GirlGov’ers played a vital role in the advocacy drive, creating engaging videos to promote the initiative.
