Pittsburgh, PA – The Just Films series embarks on its second season of films. The Women and Girls Foundation, Chatham University’s Women’s Institute, and Women’s Law Project will join new partners and cosponsors Gwen’s Girls and YWCA Greater Pittsburgh to inspire, challenge, and move the Pittsburgh’s community into action.
The films deal with gender through a variety of intersectional perspectives, such as the judicial system, rape culture, veterans, sports, and LGBT experiences in communities of color. To fully explore these topics, the series offers a panel discussion led by experts– filmmakers, academics, policymakers, spoken word artists– directly after each film, through which attendees can unpack these complex social issues.
