As part of the program, students also engaged in journaling activities to encourage self-reflection and personal growth.

February:

The month’s theme was “From Slavery to Freedom.” The students immersed themselves in educational sessions that explored the history of slavery and its impact on the journey towards liberation. An important component of the learning experience was a visit to the Heinz History Center, which further enhanced their understanding of this crucial historical period.

The middle school girls had a special field trip to observe the high school GirlGov program in action, focusing on eradicating gun violence. This field trip served as a powerful inspiration for our middle school participants, motivating them to continue their leadership journey.
