Samidha, a GirlGover co-leading the Health & Environment Committee!
Samidha first learned about GirlGov while she was participating in the Global Leadership certificate program through the World Affairs Council. Samidha has been a part of GirlGov for two years, and one of her favorite aspects of the program is that every GirlGov member has something in common with her peers. Her favorite memory of GirlGov is from last year’s trip to the PA Capitol, where Samidha recalls sitting on the steps, and “having one of the best conversations with two people I had never talked to before.”
At her high school, Samidha is involved with Key Club, Amnesty International, NHS, and Speech and Debate. She is passionate about organizing service activities that benefit children’s education and improve accessibility to resources, especially for children. Samidha takes piano and dance lessons, and she has been taking Karate for 7 years. Her proudest accomplishment is earning a black belt!
After high school, Samidha wants to study Economics and International Relations. Her dream is to engage in social entrepreneurship through her position as a human rights attorney. Samidha’s dream is to work with the UN. Samidha likes to read Harry Potter books, watch the Harry Potter films, dance and sing to Beyoncé, Shakira, or French pop music and go on runs in scenic places with her dog.
Help us train the next generation of civic leaders! There’s still time left this year to support GirlGov and WGF! Visit www.wgfpa.org/joinus to learn more.
