Top Influencer: Teen Alters Seventeen Magazine

Fourteen year old Julia Bluhm (and the 80,000 folks she helped mobilize) got Seventeen Magazine to agree to stop using Photoshop to alter the face, shape and body sizes of its teen models AND to feature a diversity of models with different body shapes, races, and hair textures.
The 8th grader has been involved in change.org’s Civil Rights Team for many years. She is a feminist and a blogger for the girl-fueled SPARK Movement, which fights against sexualized images of women and girls in the media.
